Meet NC's Vance County Gang
UPDATE: All the Vance County pups have found their Forever Homes!
On Tuesday late afternoon, September 13, 2011, word was circulated that there were six little Springer Spaniels in danger in a NC shelter. ESRA Carolinas got on the road early the next morning to swoop them up and take them to safety. They have been living out in an open field, foraging for themselves — the little ones were not faring too well with the big boys not sharing what little food they were given so they are a little less hearty looking but should thrive with good care. None have any training so our foster homes will have their work cut out for them, but hey, isn't that what we do?
Thanks to Darlene Hoffman, our ESRA Carolinas Foster Home Coordinator (pictured here with a member of the Vance County Animal Control staff), who traveled with Barbara King to fetch the little guys. We know we did a good thing today and we're very proud!
